The Sage Oak vs The Forum at Park Lane

This comparison intentionally avoids pretending we know current pricing, inventory or care capabilities that we have not independently verified. Start with the identity facts, then ask both communities the same care and cost questions.

Ask Both Communities These Same Questions

Decision areaQuestion to ask both
Care fitCan you safely support this resident's current mobility, transfers, medications, cognition and overnight needs?
Monthly costWhat is the realistic recurring total for this exact care profile?
Care increasesWhat would increase the care level or monthly charge?
Medication supportWhat medication assistance is included and what is separately charged?
Future needsWhich changes would require the resident to transfer to another setting?
Move-inWhat assessments, records, deposits and forms are required before admission?

How to Make the Comparison Fair

Write one care profile and give it to both communities. Ask both to quote the same room preference and the same care needs. Put base housing, care-level charges, medication support, recurring extras and one-time fees on separate rows. Then compare the 12-month total, not merely the advertised starting price.

Next, verify both provider identities through the Texas HHS Long-Term Care Provider Search. Compare the exact legal facility names and addresses rather than assuming that a brand or marketing name is the licensed entity.

Care Fit Comes Before Amenities

The provider that looks better in photographs is not necessarily the provider that can better manage transfers, falls, medications, nighttime assistance or cognitive changes. Ask each community to state what it cannot support. A clear answer about limitations is more useful than a broad sales claim that residents can "age in place."
